Job Specifics

Support the successful vehicle integration of a facelift or new carline into the vehicle platforms from initial concept development phase until Start of Production. This role can work in both the physical and virtual world depending on the detail deployment in the team and the time of the programme. All of this to be achieved against tight deadlines with high visibility in the business.
  • Drives the development of the vehicles key attributes and its sign-off tests to meet key project milestone deliverables
  • Moderate cross-functional discussions on conflicting requirements and develop resolution proposals
  • Ensures program health at each major milestone & checkpoint for VE (Value Engineering) deliverables, support to deliver the overall attribute balance for the program along with the engineering status
  • Orchestrating Verification Plan Meeting including minutes and agenda
  • Plan and execute full vehicle evaluations from a customers’ point of view
  • Driving the team in the planning and build of its prototype vehicle fleet and their technical sign off
  • Analyse outcome vehicle evaluations and develop improvement proposals

The ideal Candidate

  • University degree in an Engineering field, e.g. Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Mechatronics or similar studies (Bachelor, Master)
  • Both Project Management experience and experience in vehicle integration and design verification, vehicle and attribute system
  • Furthermore good understanding of test planning, test rigs, test development
  • Understanding of vehicle validation and vehicle interaction
  • Ideally understanding of hybrid vehicles
  • Understanding of CAD, particularly CATIA V5
  • Ability to represent the department in management level program reviews
  • Diplomacy and perseverance as well as good communication skills
  • Proficient MS Office skills, especially with Excel
  • Very good fluent English language skills (written and spoken)
